I was watching the neighbors child across the street catching a certain type of ants to eat. These are large black ants with huge bodies that during certain times of the year dig themselves a hole in the ground with just their ass sticking up in the air. Many days you need to watch where you are stepping or you will have a mess on your sandals. The local kids love to eat these little critters with honey.  Are these people unique or remarkable? What is your take?

Hi, my name is Stephen Stefanski and this is the story of us all. What are people like who are  “Unique”? What are people like who are “Remarkable”?  You have seen each of these people, but you don’t really pay attention. You are on your path to a destination you know nothing about.  I only point this out because you need to become aware if you are to grow to your potential.

Keep Your Eyes Open

In my wanderings, I have seen many types of people. I have seen rich and poor people in my travels. They have been middle class and homeless.  But none of these things make a person remarkable. They are all unique but far from being remarkable.  Why is a person remarkable to you?

Does Your Life Look Like This

Up until I was five I was “Unique”. The world put me on a pedestal and I had the world in the palm of my hand. When I turned six and I was no longer “Unique”, but heading toward being “Remarkable”. No longer was I the king of my world. They put me in a room with thirty other “Unique” individuals and I had to become “Remarkable”.

How do you turn from being “Unique” to someone who is “Remarkable”? What makes you stand out in front of the rest? How do you become an Einstein, Gates, Edison or Gandhi? What did they do that you are not doing now?

Is This You

Or does our life look like this? This is Chris Gardner. You may have heard of the movie that Will Smith stared in about Chris the Pursuit of Happiness. Chris went from sleeping in restrooms with his son to become a millionaire in the stock market. Is he unique or remarkable?

Twenty-one Days

It takes 21 days to change a habit. This is the time it takes for an old mental image to disappear and a new one to gel. Recently, a study of 96 people published in The European Journal of Social Psychology found it took on average 66 days to form a habit, such as eating fruit at lunch or running for 15 minutes a day.
Let’s push this a little farther. Ninety percent of individuals that try to build a business online the first time out stop.  They don’t fail, they just stop in the first week. Why? Is it hard? Did they run out of money? No, they ran out of commitment.
They invested nothing and received nothing in return.  Let’s look at the biggest investor of all time. A man by the name of Jesus. He invested his life. Now 2000 years later you hear his name every day. He was “Remarkable” and totally committed. Hitler was also a “Remarkable” individual. But he was committed in a much different way and a race of people was almost annihilated. I am not judging, only stating facts.

Are You Committed

Thomas Edison

Thomas Edison was a man of total commitment. As you know he created the first working lightbulb. He went through over a 1000 attempts before he found one that worked. It took him well over a year to do so.

Now time is a funny thing. Each and every one of us has the same 24 hours. How you COMMIT to those 24 hours is what is going to differentiate you from a unique person and someone who is remarkable. I want to point out a few things out that you can start with that will point you in the right direction.

Start Your Plan Today

  • Make your bed every morning – If you have a bad day you will have a bed that is made when you go to sleep that night
  • Never, ever leave dirty dishes in the sink – This needs to be done every day forever
  • Repeat this litany to yourself every day – I am a good and worthwhile person, I am responsible for myself, I will continue this new path for 21 days. These three things are only massaging your subconscious. There will be many more exercises you will need to commit to before you will see a change

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb

Which one is unique and which one is remarkable? Do you know? Answer at the end.

You think about being remarkable and not just mediocre.  Drawing a roadmap is necessary to take you to the place you wish to go in life. You will always be unique, but you will never be remarkable if you don’t. This will be a process over the next year. I am thinking you are at least 18 years old if you are reading this. It has taken 18 years to get your mindset into the state it is now. So to change you not only have to get rid of 18 years of crap, but you have to replace it with good crap. You will be fortunate if you can reprogram your mind in such a small amount of time.

Just the Beginning

This is just the beginning of a new life for you. This article barely touches on the surfaces of the challenges you are going to face.  But you have made it to this point in your life, and are beginning to realize there is something more out there.

You don’t have a time constraint. You only have to remember that “Time is not short, only life is”. By the way, it does not matter if Tweedle Dee or Tweedle is unique or remarkable. This is a memory tool I use in order for you to keep thinking about the person you wish to become.
